| Wow! This is the first year Mike, Becky, Eric, and Katie have
stayed put! As you recall from previous editions
of this newsletter, they were either embarking on
their own Oregon-trail from Maryland, or heading
to California. Well, the West has Won their
hearts. Nestled between the Silicon Valley and
San Francisco, the Smiths found the perfect area
to settle and raise a family.
Becky splits her time between
teaching, baking cookies, changing Katies
diapers, rushing Eric off to Karate lessons, and
barely keeping the house clean. The once
"Miss Organized" now forgets things,
like cooking the chicken before putting it into
the casserole. Teaching Web Page Design
and working on her Certificate in Online Teaching from UCLA gives her just enough mental
stimulation to remind her that there is more to
life than crumbs and diapers.
Eric was caught on video
throwing a toy and telling Katie to go
"fetch" it. He very innocently said
that Katie is a Dog, and he is a Dog Fetcher.
Katie not only fetches, she is also really good
at throwing stuff into the trashcan, including
all of the remote controls. But really, Eric and
Katie make a great brother-and-sister team. Mom
and dad cross their fingers hoping this continues
long after they become teenagers.
Mike is "onTOP" of
everything these days. With his deskTOP, lapTOP,
and new palmTOP computers, who wouldnt be?
Mike was also promoted to Principal Consultant at
Microsoft this
past Summer. With his easygoing personality and
those laughing eyes, you would never guess that
hes a person with a lot of smarts. No
wonder his clients (and his family) love him so
much.
Bj, Beckys brother, is manning the
homefront watching his two girls as Theresa, his
wife, is on an Air Force assignment in Saudi
Arabia for the next several months. Send Bj e-mail
if you would like her address.
And congratulations to Bj who just graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Science!
Happy Holidays!
